Being part of the Southampton Hub committee isn't like volunteering on any other society committee. We work as a team to deliver projects and programmes in our local community to benefit a number of community partners and engage students in social and environmental issues.

What happen's next?
Fill in the application form telling us why you’d like to be involved, what skills and experiences you can bring to the role and what role you’d like to apply for.
We’ll be in touch to arrange a meeting with Marthe and Jess within 7 days of receiving your application.
If you’re successful your induction will take place after the Easter holidays in the final week of April. You will spend a couple of weeks shadowing your predecessor before taking over your role. We’ll then spend the next few months working with you to plan your role and project and give you all the training you need to be successful in the role.
You’ll start implementing your project in September 2017 when the new academic year starts.
Set fundraising target for the year.
Find innovative fundraising ideas to support Southampton Hub projects.
Plan and organise logistics for fundraising events.
Liaise with communications officer to promote all events.
Work with committee to devise a timeline fundraising across the year.
Actively look and apply for other fundraising opportunities (i.e. trusts, grants etc).
Work with Schools Plus and Branch Up fundraising officers to support their work and lead a collaborative fundraising effort.

Branch Up Coordinator
Lead the Branch Up programme and subcommittee with the Southampton Hub Support Officer.
Support volunteers officer in volunteer selection and training.
Assist with marketing to attract applications in September and January as needed.
Oversee planning and running activity days, ensuring days remain in budget.
Gets referrals from social services and gather/stores the relevant information and forms for each child.
Invites children to activity day and communicates with the children’s families or referees before and after each activity day.
Oversees feedback from children to improve activity days.
