Empower young people through activity-based mentoring and Branch Up activity days.
6 weeks in April-May and/or 3 Saturday activity days in February and May
Southampton Hub are launching two new volunteering programmes. We're looking for student volunteers to work 1:1 with a young person (primary or secondary school students) on one of our programmes to inspire them to get excited about being active!
Working with young people aged 11-15 (secondary school)
6 weeks over mid-April/late May
After school for 2 hours
Exact days/times TBC
Work 1:1 with a young person for the 6 week project
Try new and fun activities which encourage them to think about their health, wellbeing and how they can use exercise and activity to enrich their lives.
Branch Up Active
Working with young people aged 7-12 (primary/secondary school)
Engaging young people who would benefit from active interventions
3 Saturday activity days (24 February, 12 May, TBC)
Paired 1:1 with a young person
The group will try a range of new sports (e.g. archery, ultimate frisbee, horseriding)
We are an inclusive organisation and can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, interviews, training sessions and other activities on a case-by-case basis. We also provide ongoing support for the students we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, please do get in touch at email@example.com.
